DIAMOND BAR GRO-SYSTEMSTM
Maintenance Tips - Water Guidelines

Water not only provides plants with moisture, but it is also the vehicle for carrying nutrients to the plant. Watering needs vary depending on the unique growing environment around the plant, on fluctuating temperatures and day lengths, and on external factors such as wind and rain. Also, remember that the frequency of watering will affect the frequency of fertilizing (see fertilizing for more information on plant nutrition). Diamond Bar Gro-Systems' containers are all designed to allow plants to monitor their own water needs. The unique style of self-watering container allows plant material to absorb as much water as they need without overwatering.

After purchasing your Diamond Bar Gro-Systems™ planter use the dipstick daily to determine how quickly your plants are using the water. Based on your observations, you can determine how often you need to check. Remember, that as the plant grows and as the summer heats up you will need to check (and water) more often.
Wait to fill the reservoir until there is ¼”, or less, water on the bottom of the dipstick.
If for some reason both the reservoir and the soil dry out, fill the reservoir and water the plant from the top (to help remoisten the potting mix and get water to the roots more quickly).
