DIAMOND BAR GRO-SYSTEMSTM

Maintenance Tips - Nutrition Guidelines

In the spring and early summer, while the plants are small and temperatures cooler, fertilizing once a week is generally adequate.

As the summer heats up and the plants get larger you may need to fertilize every 5-6 days. Some plants (and even some colors within the same plant type) are more sensitive to lack of fertilizer. See troubleshooting links to determine if your plant needs more fertilizer.

DO NOT fertilize every time you water. Diamond Bar Gro-Systems™ fertilizer is strong stuff and using it every time you water could cause fertilizer burn.

When you fertilize, use one ounce of fertilizer per gallon of water.

16” round containers hold 2 gallons of water, 4’ window boxes hold 4 gallons, 4’ oblong planters hold 7 gallons, the 4'x4' raised bed holds 47 gallons.

Pour the fertilizer down the tube first, then add the water.
