Instructions: Pruning & Dead-Heading

Almost all plant material sold by Diamond Bar Gro-Systems™ is meant to be as pruning-free as possible, but there may be times when you need or want to prune.

Shaping To keep the planter looking balanced, you may want to prune plants that have more abundant growth earlier in the year to help them grow in step with slower-growing plants.

Taming Some plants (particularly spreading petunias and sweet potato vines) are aggressive growers who become even more aggressive as the summer heats up. You may need to prune them to keep them growing where and how you like.

Damage If your plant has been injured or damaged you may want to prune the damaged or dead portions to encourage and make room for new growth.
